Organised by a team of Year 3 students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Chinese Media & Communication as part of their Final Year Project (FYP), XPRESS65 aims to help youths in Singapore use art as a healthy outlet for emotional expression.
XPRESS65’s Project Manager, Sherlyn Ng, shared, “The goal of our project is to ultimately inspire individuals to find their artistic voice and embrace art as a healthy tool for emotional management.”
With that goal in mind, this ambitious festival will also showcase diverse local art forms through four workshops (street jazz, contemporary dance, crochet and Chinese calligraphy), and an "Interactive Activity Zone" to guide individuals on a journey of self-discovery.
Additionally, XPRES65's eye-opening vodcast series entitled ART2U focuses on individuals from various artistic backgrounds sharing their creative journeys and the role art plays in their emotional well-being.
