The festive season is here - and while you’re gearing up for the gift exchanges and dinners, the team here at Hear65 has curated a list of Christmas-themed gigs for you to attend with all of your loved ones during this joyous time.
From the likes of stalwart musician Dick Lee, to a harp quartet, jazzy renditions of Christmas classics, a performance by Cultural Medallion recipient Louis Soliano and a musical about Santa Claus not coming to town (he’s not real?!) - here’s the list of gigs you cannot afford to miss this Christmas.
Jingle Bell Jazz with The Sunnyside Sounds
When: 20 December, 7PM and 8PM.

The Sunnyside Sounds have prepared a timeless jazzy mix of renditions like 'All I Want for Christmas Is You', 'Winter Wonderland', 'Hark The Herald Angels Sing', 'What a Wonderful World', and more. Come down for a spirited celebration to get into the Christmas spirit.
ChristmasTime with Dick Lee
When: 22 - 23 December, 8PM.

ChristmasTime with Dick Lee will bring about a non-stop 90 minutes holiday special. Joined by acapella group Vocaluptuous and an emerging band in Third Degree, the groups will be performing some of Lee's favourite holiday songs from likes of 'It's the Most Wonderful Time', 'It's beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas', 'All I Want For Christmas', 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', 'Last Christmas', and 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'.
A Harpy Jolly Christmas

Get into the holiday spirit with The Harp Quartely, a group made out of Singaporean harpists that was formed in 2020 as they play their selection of festive songs building up to Christmas day.
Christmas Cheer with Louis Soliano and Friends
When: 24 & 25 December, 7PM & 8:15PM
Where: Esplanade Concourse

Watch as Cultural Medallion recipient Louis Soliano joined by Karen de Silva on the violin, Yonglun Liu strapped with a guitar, and Amanda Lee helming the pianos as they perform an evening filled with Christmas jingles, as well as soulful renditions of all their favourite festive songs in the good spirit of spreading the festive light.
An Elfie Guide to Santa Claus Not Coming to Town

Where: Esplanade Outdoor Theatre

Presented by the 7/8 Musical Collective, ‘An Elfie Guide to Santa Claus Not Coming to Town’ will follow a fictional story of Santa deciding that he is “getting too old for this stuff” after dealing with all the ever-changing restrictions with international travel. In order to save Christmas, the elves of the Unexpected Crisis Department (UCD) will do their best to set out a plan to ensure Christmas still carries on in all its festive joy.
Watch and join the elves of UCD as they try to salvage the Christmas spirit and save it, all through song.
