Jack & Rai, EIC set to kickstart Zouk Live in a return to live gigs

Zouk Group has started a brand new initiative called “Zouk Live”, reinvigorating the passion for live gigs in Singapore.

Zouk Live will run as a pop-up, bringing about a platform for Singaporean bands and artists, old and new, established and emerging alike to showcase their wares, for audiences to indulge in once again. Zouk Live is part of Zouk Cinema Club’s catalogue, which is the nightlife company’s response to the restrictions imposed on the nation’s dancefloors and nightclubs.

The first performance is set to happen on the 10 December, with Jack & Rai being bestowed the opening honours. Joined by drummer Joseph and bassist Clement who make up EIC, the quartet will be performing covers of iconic songs from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Coldplay, U2, and John Mayer as well as their own original compositions.

“At the core of Zouk’s Identity is our constant effort to stay at the forefront of Singapore’s music and entertainment industry. Keeping true to our DNA, we aspire to use the platform that we have been given over the years to showcase the talents that Singapore has to offer; to provide our local artists a stage to present their craft to a wider audience,” declared Andrew Li, CEO of Zouk Group in a press release statement.

Audiences have to be fully vaccinated in order to be in attendance at Zouk Live. Furthermore, they will have to remain seated throughout the entirety of the performance, alongside adhering to the safe distancing measures.
