.gif debuts 'Hail Nothing' live a year later, screening at The Projector

.gif are revisiting their plans of an album launch for their acclaimed sophomore album Hail Nothing, initially released on the 24th of April in 2020.

The pandemic along with the newly established restrictions of circuit breaker destroyed their plans for a live album launch show. Weish, one half of .gif wrote in on an Instagram post saying: “I was really crestfallen last year… having been so excited to arrange and perform this precious .gif album live. We’d been working on it for years with Jason Tan and Syndicate, and gearing up for a grand launch.”

But perhaps there is some truth with patience being a virtue - the duo is now set to debut a 42-minute film produced by Singaporean video agency Very Crafty Films at The Projector on the 10th, 11th and 12th of December.

Recorded at Snakeweed Studios, the film will see live performances of the tracks on the album for the very first time, along with special touches; Bani Haykal of B-Quartet will also make an appearance in the film, having lent his vocals for the opening track of the album ‘ONLY YOURS’. Charlie Lim and Sarah Teh are also set to be featured, with the two of them being credited with supporting vocals.

Tickets are up for grabs at The Projector’s website here.
