In the lead-up to the arrival of its live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, Disney has unveiled several reimagined versions of 'Part of Your World', including a Mandarin cover from Janice Yan.
Launched on 12 May, the Mandopop singer's rendition of the iconic song was recorded for the Mandarin-dubbed Taiwanese version of the film, in which Yan also voices its protagonist, Ariel.
The champion of the 2010 edition of the Taiwanese singing competition One Million Star: Star Legend is now part of the star-studded list of Asian vocalists who have lent their voices to Ariel, which also includes NewJeans' Danielle, BOWKYLION, Yichun Shan, and Duyên Quỳnh.

"The first Disney movie I watched as a kid was The Little Mermaid. Ariel is also my favourite Disney princess. Never thought I could have the opportunity to become the voice of the Chinese version of The Little Mermaid and singer of the Chinese theme song 'Part of You World'! For me, it's really like a dream," wrote Yan, who was born in China and raised in Singapore and Hong Kong, in an Instagram post.
