Jean Tan shares soulful R&B and jazz infused single 'When It's Time'

Singaporean singer-songwriter Jean Tan has released her brand new single ‘When It’s Time’ on the 19th of November.

Released via South Korean agency LEEWAY, the three-minute track’s instrumentation blends elements of R&B and jazz together, coupled with Tan’s soulful vocals, and is accompanied by an electric guitar segment played by Leo Goh. Local producer Evanturetime is credited with the track’s production.

Lyrically, it's centered around the infancy of a blooming relationship, of the nervousness that comes with it, and the yearning for certainty.

"Many of us are feeling the above in these strange times when we’re sort of in limbo while waiting for change. This is a song that captures that feeling, and wishes some clarity and resolution for all of us soon.”

This follows Tan's release last year since her sophomore EP Blooms, which features tracks ‘Everything I Love’, ‘Serenade’, ‘Fly’, ‘Oak Cherry Wine’, and ‘All Things New (Blooms)’.
