The album boasts 22 tracks, as well as 3 Bandcamp exclusive bonus tracks that first started out as a tribute project to the legendary Britsh-American producer/rapper MF DOOM. Later, those then transpired into a personal and empirical project following the death of his grandfather from a battle with colon cancer, along with his experiences with his grandmother who has dementia.

Sue tackles the themes of memory, growth, recovery, and grief head-on, translating them into cathartic exhales in the form of rhymes, broached by his baritone-heavy voice.

“I was really trying to capture snapshots of my frame of mind, during the second half of the year. It was a difficult time personally and adding to that just watching someone in your family deteriorate to that point is definitely an impactful experience. All of this music is made in the midst of that trying time, so I hope everyone who listens can hear the album like a “stream of conscious” type thing that touches on these tough topics and all the ups and downs that came from it,” the rapper told Hear65.

KISSES OF LIFE, which employs a mixed bag of artists from all over the world, namely the UK, US, Singapore, and Australia, follows from his EP release in 2021 to those foreign nights i love you. Speaking on how the collaborations sprouted, he shared: “It all came from just releasing music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp. This sound or scene is just so open and embracing, if you continually make truthful and honest music you are just bound to meet and link with like minded individuals that make incredible music.”

He also gave a nod to homegrown musicians in Fauxe and Farizi (fxrxzx) who are featured on tracks 15 and 22 respectively, saying: “But shouts out to Fauxe and Farizi (fxrxzx) who both are incredible musicians, and provided two of my favourite moments on the project!”

The album is now available for streaming, on top of purchase for $5 on Bandcamp, as well as Soundcloud. On the 11th of February, it will be made available on all major streaming platforms.
