The winner of this year's Vasantham Star has been revealed.
After weeks of exhilarating competition rounds that saw 12 contestants showcasing their vocal prowess, stage presence, and star factor in weekly-themed performances, Navein Gunasekaran has emerged as the final winner of the Indian singing competition.
In the competition's highly-anticipated grand finale, Navein, along with fellow finalists Mohamed Yacob, Sindhu Vimalkumar, Prajeeth Venkatesh, and Ashok Kumar Shwetha, underwent three challenging competition rounds.
They performed a self-chosen song, a rendition of 'Moongil Thottam' from the Indian film Kadal, as well as an original song by special guest judge D. Imman, who's known to many as an acclaimed Indian film composer.

On his win, Navein shared: “I am thrilled to be crowned the winner of Vasantham Star 2023. I would like to thank my family, friends, and supporters for believing in me throughout the competition and express my gratitude to our vocal coach and judges, who helped me to improve through their coaching and constructive feedback."
In addition to receiving a cash prize of $20,000, Navein will also have the opportunity to collaborate with D. Imman.
"I am also overjoyed by D. Imman’s offer for me to perform in one of his song compositions, and hope to continue on my musical journey and have more opportunities to perform for more audiences in the future,” Navein added.
