Homegrown singer-songwriter Ruth Kueo will perform alongside Taiwanese band A_Root at the Esplanade this Lunar New Year season.
The 'Roselia' act and Golden Melody Award-winning sextet are set to stage two shows at the Singapore-based performing arts centre's DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at 7:30 PM and 9 PM on 17 February.
Titled Dragon Glow, the free events are part of this year's edition of the Esplanade's Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts, an annual cultural festival that spotlights "outstanding" Chinese artists.

Currently based in Taiwan, Kueo emerged as the champion of the Taiwanese reality singing competition 台灣那麼旺 in 2021.
She released an eight-track studio album, titled 同溫 (When Our Worlds Collide), via APPA Music last August.
"I wrote an entire album about my own experience of stepping out of my comfort zone and the good and bad of group mentality and group psychology," she said of the project in an earlier interview with Hear65.
Made up of members who hail from northeastern Taiwan's Yilan County, A_Root bring together jazz, traditional opera, electronic, and funk influences, as well as the sounds of the sheng, yueqin, liuqin, and zhongruan, in their music.
