Reaching an important milestone in his music career, not only is ShiGGa Shay the first Singaporean artist to showcase exceptional artistry and talent on the COLORS show, but he is also the first to present a seamless blend of Mandarin and Hokkien on the channel, further pushing Singapore culture and music to the global scene.
On his performance, the homegrown hip-hop artist shared: “It’s an honour for me to be featured on the channel as I’ve been a big fan of COLORSxSTUDIOS for a while. It has always been important to me as an artist to experiment with different sounds and include elements of my roots in my music."
He added: "I'm really grateful to COLORS for giving me this platform and opportunity to share my culture and heritage with the world.”
Earlier this year, the renowned rapper performed at the inaugural SINMAHUI Hip Hop Night during the Huayi - Chinese Festival of Arts on 3 February at the Esplanade Annexe Studio alongside Tosh Rock, Zadon, J.M3, Cykko, and more.
