The four-minute track features a feel-good indie rock touch, with the lyrics diving into the themes that revolve around dating in this current generation. William Choi, bassist of the band tells Hear65: “The song title is ‘Modern Age Love Story’ which is about the dating scene of the modern age generation who discover their loved ones through social media/dating apps. Through our song, we hope to deliver a positive message to encourage the singles to find their partners soon.”
This marks the band’s second single release, following ‘Building Yesterday’ from February this year. They have also won the NParks Live Out Loud: Battle of the Bands in 2018, alongside performances at Rockestra Music Festival and Rhythm @ Kampung Admiralty. Making up The Pepper Tree are Alok Pathak, William Choi, Justin Lu and Louis Lam.
