Woes are about to kickstart the new year with a bang.
On 4 December, the five-piece math-rock outfit took to their social media platforms to announce their upcoming launch party for their first full-length album, Temporal Dimension, at Phil’s Performing Arts Centre on 7 January 2024. Also joining in the show as the opening acts are Curb and Outer Orbit.

Temporal Dimension, a 15-track homage to Woes’ signature melancholic sound trip, taps into the “intricate balance of complex musical ideas fused with memorable and timeless melody lines”. Intended to form an emotional connection between the band and listeners, the album – mixed, mastered, and recorded at PK Records by Ian Lee – creates a comforting space for those tuning in.
Consisting members Russell Seow (bass), Raizel Gonzales (vocals), Alex Calaunan (guitar), Aloysius Au (guitar), and Khoo Shen-En (drums), Woes have come a long way since their debut. From playing gigs at underground venues such as Lithe House and Decline, and performing at Baybeats Festival 2021, the ‘Monkey Tennis’ act were selected as one of Vans Musicians Wanted Singapore’s Top five artists in 2020. Aside from that, Woes have also supported international artists such as Soft Soft Pillow and Covet.
Tickets to Temporal Dimension are now available via New Mongrel’s official website, with prices starting from $18.
