Altoduo comprises Winifred Tan, who helms the drumset, and John Paul Kwan, the brains behind the driving basslines. The 8-track album opens with their single ‘unwind’ which features homegrown percussionist Ridz Razali, and was first released in October. They also released the music video for it on the 29th of October, as the trio rocked out on our Singaporean beaches.

Altoduo tells Hear65: "What Nobody Asked For features melodic, chill and aggressive instrumental tunes depicting life's optimisms, setbacks, and what our generation longs for. The album’s shapeshifting disposition sees a transition from the aesthetics of a summer breeze to an urban nocturne depicting a vulnerable side of the band members, while revealing Altoduo’s unflinching, yet conceptual nature found in their songwriting forays."

On the 28th of December, the duo alongside Daniel Lim unveiled their official music video for 'longing', which was recorded at Haw Par Villa.

Prior to releasing What Nobody Asked for, the instrumental duo released their debut EP Revival in 2020, which includes regional and international features from artists based in Singapore, Indonesia, Germany and, the United States of America.
