Gov.sg’s ‘Let’s Test, Trace and Vaccinate’ PSA features Annette Lee, Yung Raja, Ng Ming Wei, Mark Lee and Siti Khalijah in catchy jingle - watch

Prepare for the new normal with this catchy safety briefing from the Singapore Government!

Titled ‘Let’s Test, Trace and Vaccinate’, Gov.sg has released a catchy jingle that ties in with the recent change in measures implemented after the surge of COVID-19 cases in Singapore in May. Produced in the style of an airline safety briefing, the upbeat and jovial public service announcement (PSA) details the steps to ease Singapore into the new normal.

The PSA encourages everyone to Test, Trace and Vaccinate, and sheds light on measures including the sale of the antigen rapid test (ART) self-test kits, and the progressive roll-out of vaccination slots to more Singaporeans.

Featuring performances from homegrown talents and local actors, the video stars singer-songwriter Annette Lee, rapper Yung Raja, taekwondo athlete Ng Ming Wei, and local actors Mark Lee (The Diam Diam Era) and Siti Khalijah (An Actress Prepares). It was shot at various locations around Singapore, including Jewel Changi Airport and Raffles Hotel.

This is not the first time a PSA about the pandemic has enlisted the help of local stars. Earlier this year, Singapore’s favourite contractor and his wife, Phua Chu Kang and Rosie, played by comedians Gurmit Singh and Irene Ang, also did their part to encourage citizens to get the vaccination in the form of a catchy song.

To date, vaccination appointments have been opened up to Singaporeans and PRs aged 12 to 39, as Singapore looks to increase the rate of vaccinations in the country. As of June 29, about four in five Singaporeans in this group have taken the first dose of the vaccine or booked a slot to get a shot.
