Commuters can now catch a vibrant new video from Hear65's I Play SG Music campaign while making their way around the island.
Rolled out on 8 December, the 30-second video, which features kinetic typography against yellow, orange, green, purple, and black backgrounds, invites Singaporeans to keep an ear out for local tunes throughout the day at 125 SMRT MRT stations and bus interchanges.
It can now be spotted from 7 AM to 11 PM daily on 1,920 SMRT Active Route-map and Information System (STARis) LED screens on board SMRT's North-South Line and East-West Line trains.
An initiative that is part of a collaboration between transport operator SMRT and the National Arts Council (NAC), the I Play SG Music campaign is a year-long effort to bring made-in-Singapore music to over 3 million commuters daily.
Last month, the campaign debuted a refreshed playlist featuring 49 tunes from 50 homegrown names, including Shelby Wang, Syaz Smooth, The Great Spy Experiment, and Haven. Comprising three sub-playlists — Morning, Afternoon, and Evening — it also includes a mix of English and bilingual numbers.
