motifs will be going on tour this October.
Announced on 4 October, the homegrown shoegaze five-piece band will be venturing to six cities in Asia for their Remember A Stranger Asia Tour 2023, including Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.

Kickstarting on 21 October, the band will make their first stop at the Blueprint Livehouse in Bangkok. Thereafter, they will set off to AXEAN Music Festival in Singapore on 28 October, and open for MOM Livehouse on 6 December in Hong Kong. On the last leg of their tour in Japan, the band will be performing at Socore Factory in Osaka on 8 December, and 鶴舞DAYTRIP in Nagoya on 9 December before playing at 下北沢THREE and FEVER on 10 and 11 December respectively in Tokyo.
motifs comprises band members Elspeth Ong (vocals, guitar), JJ Tan (lead guitar), Paul Yuen (bass), Badrul Amin (synth, vocals, guitar), and Jolin Chiam (drums). Since they recorded their debut album Remember A Stranger with producer Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios in 2022, the band saw exposure in the international music scene as independent labels in North America and Japan took up the album for distribution.
