Baybeats 2023 announces Singapore lineup — The Great Spy Experiment, Shye, Forests, Sun Cell, and more

The next edition of Baybeats is nearly here.

Set to take place at Esplanade — Theatres on the Bay from 6 October to 8 October, Baybeats 2023 will, as with its past iterations, feature a slew of performances from alternative musicians from Singapore as well as across Asia. 

On 6 September, just a day after teasing this year's performance lineup, the event's organisers took to social media to reveal the full list of artists who will entertain music lovers across four stages next month.

Hailing from Singapore are acts such as grindcore veterans Wormrot, who will be joined by guests Gabriel Dubko and weish, singer-songwriter and producer Shye, indie outfit The Great Spy Experiment, emo/math rock band Forests, instrumental bands Sphaeras and Paint the Sky Red, death metal and punk outfit Doldrey, artist and producer Sun Cell, and indie-rockers Count Vernon.

Also part of the Singapore contingent are Cesspit, Krunkle, Mary Sue and the Clementi Sound Appreciation Club, M.Y.T.H, No Rest for the Weary, Taledrops, The Workshop, nkei, and Thy Howler.

Festival-goers will also be able to catch performances from regional acts such as the Philippines' SOS, Indonesia's The Panturas, Thailand's Rosalyn, and Taiwan's I Mean Us.

Admission to Baybeats 2023 will be free, but pre-registration is required for shows at the Powerhouse² and Annexe. Esplanade&Me members can register from 12 PM on 22 September onwards while the general public can register from 12 PM on 29 September onwards.
