An initiative by National Arts Council (NAC), AYN will be offering a series of free programs centered around reimaging heartlands, revisiting local mythology and the celebration of stories from residents in neighbourhoods. The musicians featured on Brilliant Corners: Bukit Merah Diaries include Baked, Deførmed, Sadiq Mansor, FZPZ, Krisonautopilot, Kribo, DelphineRama, OmarKenobi, Antz, KIAT+Arunditha, Has. J, ZeroTheMemoryThief, PolkaRos, and JeanReiki.

Brilliant Corners: Bukit Merah Diaries first started out as an open-air arts festival, and are now developing themselves into a visual arts platform. The programme is set to feature murals and music tracks from Singaporean artists, all of which are inspired and are a direct reply to the adolescent memories of Bukit Merah residents, making up the self-guided arts trail, similar to 2019’s AYN edition which included Tigers in Tampines.

Running the show for Brilliant Corners: Bukit Merah Diaries are KIAT and Cherry from creative studio System Sovereign, who are also the co-founders of Singaporean visual-audio collective Syndicate.
