To celebrate Singapore's 58th birthday, a group of local students put their own spin on one of the most popular songs to be released over the last few years.
As part of the Pre-Parade segment of this year's National Day Parade (NDP), the Deyi Secondary School band lit up the Padang with a spirited rendition of GRAMMY-nominated South Korean septet BTS' 2020 hit 'Dynamite'.
Led by Drum Major Caspar Ho, the pink-clad outfit kept the NDP 2023 crowd entertained as they twirled and moved from side to side while waving pink and purple flags and playing brass instruments and drums.
The band's performance has since gone viral on social media, with one clip, in particular, amassing over 387,000 views on Twitter since it was uploaded at 6:24 PM on 9 August.

The Deyi Secondary School band was part of a larger 470-member Pre-Parade contingent — also made up of representatives from Bedok View Secondary School, East Spring Secondary School, and Victoria Junior College — that was assembled to celebrate youths as the future of Singapore.
