Warner Music Singapore and SingPop Music Limited (SingPop) have released their compilation album, SingVoice Season 1 on the 12th of November.

SINGVOICE新创之声2021 (SingVoice) is a “mentorship and competition” platform kick-started in July by Warner Music Singapore and SingPop. In this format, rising Mandopop singer-songwriters duke it out for the opportunity to be signed to a major label. The album features 10 tracks from the 10 finalists from SingVoice, namely Yokez叶玉棂, LYNX林延芯, Becka陈怡璇, Nicole Sim沈方馨, Ora晰月, Soph T. 霏霏, ZJ 陈子建, Jason Yu余朝永, Wilson Huang黄铃贻, and J.M3 刘宣怡.
Each track performed and released on the compilation album was birthed from a two-month stint in the SingVoice mentorship program, which includes songwriting workshops, professional production studio lessons, performance training, and audience engagement skills. Mentors for SingVoice included the likes of George Leong, Derrick Tham, Terrence Huang, Hubert Ng, Goh Kheng Long, Kenn C, David Tan, Wilson Tan, Jonathan Koh, Tan Boon Wah, Jasmine Sokko, and Nathan Hartono.

“I’m honored to be able to work with these 10 finalists for the past two months. It is heartening to see their utmost commitment, hard work and passion. And no matter who wins this competition, I believe all 10 of them will pave the future of Mandopop in Singapore,” shared Derrick Tham in a press release statement.
On the 25th of November, the 10 said finalists will be showcasing their pre-recorded performances of their tracks featured on the album at the *SCAPE Ground Theatre, with the night culminating in the announcement of the competition’s winner.
