Rapper Yung Raja is back with a new hip-hop single titled 'Spice Boy'.

Produced by Singaporean beatmakers Flightsch (Dizzy Dizzo, Terry Lee, Kimberly Chen) who'd also previously worked with the rapper on 'Mustafa', and RIIDEM, the catchy track is an amalgamation of the various cultural identities in Asian hip-hop. Complete with addictive beats, the song also features the rapper's signature Tamil and English raps.
“Since I was a child I’ve always been proud of my culture - my roots, my mother tongue, everything that makes me ‘me," shares Yung Raja.

The rising hip-hop artist's single early this year, 'Mami', garnered almost a million streams on YouTube and Spotify combined. The track was also featured on a segment of popular American talk show 'The Tonight Show' hosted by Jimmy Fallon, where the show's house musician Questlove was shown dancing to it after its host jested the track in banter. Fallon and Raja later exchanged pleasantries on social media.
The eclectic music video for 'Spice Boy' which features wigs, sumo costumes, and more will also drop on 30 July at 9PM SGT on Yung Raja's YouTube channel. It was filmed and directed by filmmaker Jasper Tan, also known as Vadbibes, who's worked on music videos for local acts SHYE, Jasmine Sokko, Tabitha Nauser, The Sam Willows, and more.
