Charlie Lim and Dru Chen have teamed up for a new song.

Released on 19 May, 'Utopia Reimagined: If You Knew' is the latest and final commissioned song in the Utopia Reimagined series. The R&B and soul track is the duo's take on a 47-minute symphony, titled 'UTOPIA', and is about their own definition of a utopia.

Chen shared: "I rhetorically ask the listener if they would ‘think twice’ about attempting to follow one’s true north; to pursue what brought real happiness in this lifetime. To return to this state would be a joyous full-circle reunion with one’s infinite possibilities; an enchantment with life itself, at birth."

Regarding the collaboration with Chen, Lim said: "Getting to work on this song with him makes me reminisce about simpler times and reminded me about why we do what we do in the first place."

Chen shared that the single will be part of his upcoming third album Slower Life which will be released 30 June.

The Utopia Reimagined series is in its second edition this year, with earlier releases by other local acts including Coming Up Roses, OHYMYMEITING, and weish. Last year's inaugural edition of Utopia Reimagined saw Lim, Aisyah Aziz, Joanna Dong, and ShiGGa Shay putting out singles in support of the series.
