Singaporean singer-songwriter and producer Shye has released her first single of the year, ‘still trying’ on the 11th of February.

The quiet and delicate three-minute track serves as a dedication to all of her listeners who have been supporting her. In an Instagram post, the singer-songwriter pledges: “SONG ABOUT YOU FOR YOU,” and “thank u for allowing my music to take up space in your life you r the best”, addressing all of her adoring fans.
Earlier this year, the bedroom to New York Billboard artist dropped the music video for ‘CORDUROY’ taken from her mini-album hello TRINITY. Directed by Huang Junxiang, it starts out in an optical store with Shye putting on a phoropter on a young girl - transitioning into a series of multi-coloured visuals featuring the artist dancing and singing.
In 2021, her debut full-length album Days to Morning Glory won Best New Artist at the 14th Freshmusic Awards, and in January this year, she clinched Best New Asian Act at the Bandlab NME Awards.
