Zendyll Records launch X’mas Is The Time Of Giving with Shye, Estelle Fly, Shak, Rangga Jones, and Dominic Chin in support of Children’s Cancer Foundation

Zendyll Records is getting in the spirit of giving this Christmas.

With COVID-19 causing health, social, financial, and now economic uncertainties all over the world, many individuals have been struggling to keep afloat.

Zendyll Records, the music company co-founded by Jon Chua JX of The Sam Willows, will be stepping in this December with a helping hand. The label – which currently houses Jon himself, together with Estelle Fly, and recently held Majulah Live 2020 in November – is organising a special project aiming to provide relief to those who need it, while celebrating appreciation in the final moments of the year.

Enlisting the help of rising acts in the Singapore music scene, including Shye, Estelle Fly, Shak, Rangga Jones, and Dominic Chin, X’mas Is The Time Of Giving sees these five artists uniting for a music video of ‘I’m Gonna Be Loved (This Christmas)’.

Shot at Zendyll Studios, the take on The Sam Willows’ original from their 2018 Christmas EP is part of the project’s invitations for contributions to the Children’s Cancer Foundation, complete with messages by Jon Chua JX, RRILEY, Benjamin, and Narelle Kheng at the end of the video.

“Whether you choose to give a little or to give a lot, our heartfelt appreciation and thanks go to you,” added Jon, in a press release. “Any contribution will go a long way to light up the lives of the kids and their families as we all continue pressing on in the aftermath of COVID-19.”

The announcement of the donation drive comes after impacts of the coronavirus have been brought to light, which include putting a stop on the Children’s Cancer Foundation’s annual flagship fundraiser, Hair For Hope

Since the outbreak, the Children’s Cancer Foundation has also received an influx of requests for financial support and counselling, reflecting the “heightened anxieties of caring for a child with cancer in such times”.

Click here to make your donation at Giving.sg from 7 December, 2020, to 7 January, 2021. All donations will go directly to the CCF.
