Produced, mixed, and mastered by Adele Lim from Homeground Studios, the three-minute track is a feel-good pop number, serving as a response to the daily vexations that arise from the modern struggles of a rat-race world.
In a statement to Hear65, the songstress told us: “I’ve spent months on this launch, and now that it’s finally out, I aim to give it its best shot at success. This was an entirely independent project that took a village, and I am so tremendously proud of it.”
Accompanying the single’s release is a music video co-directed and conceptualised by the singer-songwriter herself. It most notably features a cast made up of shazza’s friends, an ode to the security that the closest people in your life give you, and how they’ll show up for you, pity party or not.
Prior to ‘Pity Party’, shazza released two singles in 2020 - ‘August’, and ‘It Takes Two’.
