Mandopop songwriting festival, SG:SW I Write The Songs (SG:SW 2020 我写我的歌), has announced six winners of the nationwide competition that crowns the best in songwriting in the Mandopop industry.
A total of 322 submissions were received, with 261 songwriters hailing from Singapore, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Decided by a panel of industry veterans, the selection comes after four months of intensive screening and training, following an online live showcase in October and open call for submissions in late July.

The judging panel is formed by Singapore Cultural Medallion Award recipient, Liang Wern Fook, music producer and music director of OB Music, Zennon Goh, producer-songwriter maestros, Billy Koh and Lee Si Song, and media personality and lyricist, Ng King Kang.

Organised by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre with Composers & Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) and Ocean Butterflies Music, SG:SW I Write The Songs aims to provide the next generation of artists in Singapore a platform to showcase and hone their musical talent.
