Baybeats reveals first and second wave of line-ups: Electrico, The Full Pledge Munkees, Caracal, and more

Live performances, hurrah! Baybeats kicks off on the 4th of November, marking its 20th anniversary since its inception in 2001. Every year, Baybeats gives artists - established and upcoming alike - a platform to showcase their music through their genre-diverse line-up.

2018's edition consisted of iconic names like CaracalForce Vomit, Wormrot and Akeem Jahat to the introduction of (then) upcoming acts like Yung Raja, Fariz Jabba, Kin Leonn and Disco Hue. 2019 saw the likes of Tell Lie Vision, Iman's League, Shye amongst many others, and in 2020 came the first livestreamed Baybeats, which featured Hanging Up The Moon, Subsonic Eye and Mediocre Haircut Crew and more.

On the 4th of October, they released their first wave lineup for this year’s iconic 3-day festival at Esplanade; Lion city Ska-punk representatives The Full Pledge Munkees, legendary Singaporean indie-rock trio Electrico, Californian outfit Destroy Boys, Malaysia-native Johny Comes Lately, rock quartet Blush, genre-bending quintet Astronauts, math-rockers Approaching Aphelion and Woes make up just some of the eclectic roster.

On the 5th of October, they released their second wave which includes the legenedary Caracal, Phillipines-native trio Urbandub, all-female metal Indonesian trio Voice of Baceprot, post-rock/ambient band A R A J U A, alternative rock band Sun Eater, acclaimed trio Iman's League, five-piece outfit Terrestrea, rock-quartet Cactus Cactus and pop-rock RENE who's accompanied by her band.

The iconic, free-to-watch alternative festival is set to happen on the 4th to the 7th of November. More details will be announced in the following weeks leading up to the festival - follow their Instagram page to stay updated.
