*SCAPE returns for their third edition of Music Day Out! (MDO), running from the 18th of October to the 23rd - keeping to their ethos of shedding the spotlight on the local indie music scene. Attendees and participants alike can expect a star-studded line up of bands performing, music consultation and panel discussions from subject matter experts of the industry.

Local bands performing at MDO include math-rock trio Forests, shoegaze/alternative outfit Coming Up Roses and alternative R&B duo nkei. Each act will be playing 30-minutes each and will be sharing some personal insights into their journey musically, what drives their creativity, and how they’ve been.
Furthemore, solo artists and bands who fall under the age range of 15 to 35 will be able to sign-up and participate in *SCAPE ALT. Residency Open Call, in which four participants will be shortlisted and mentored under local music professionals like David Siow, songstress Weish and local indie record label Where Are The Fruits.
Details are to be submitted by 7th November, which includes previously done work and performances along with unreleased demos.
Lastly, attendees will also be able to join Elodie Sobczak from Myanmar, Andrew Mam from Cambodia, Joff Cruz from Vietnam, Chris B from Hong Kong, and our very own Tan Peng Sing as they share their takes on the industry, getting to grips with subjects like “Tackling Emerging Markets” and “Localising Global Developments”.
Last year's music showcase featured the likes of RENE, Caracal, Bakers in Space, Tengyboy, and more.
