Singaporean stalwart hip-hop artist ShiGGa Shay has released his brand new EP, I AM U on the 21st of April via DRINK Entertainment.

The 5-track EP features previously released singles in ‘uKnow’ which notably features South Korean rapper Jay Park, and ‘Passive Aggressive’. ‘Mercury’ featuring Taiwanese-American rapper ØZI, ‘Birthday’ and ‘uKnow’ make their debuts.
The track ‘Mercury’ delves into the themes of being in a toxic relationship, and was produced by Londoner JB Made It who has production credits on international hip-hop giants Drake, Fivo Foreign, and Chief Keef.
Speaking on working with the Taiwanese-American rapper, the homegrown artist shared: “I think that he’s a really dope creative. I love the contract between our sounds on this song. We actually recorded it during the Mercury Retrograde."
Moreover, track number 4, ‘Birthday’ marks the collaboration between the Londoner JB Made It and ShiGGa’s long-time collaborator superjdoug for a pulsing drill beat.
Prior to releasing I AM U, the homegrown rapper most recently released ‘uTopia reimagined: chasing’ which also stamped the first time ShiGGa, Aisyah Aziz, and Charlie Lim have worked together on a track. On the 13th of April, he dropped his first NFT which sold out in under 4 minutes.
